ARTISTRY, HISTORY AND THE FUTURE: CHANEL ANNOUNCES MÉTIERS D'ART 2025 SHOW IN NEW YORK

In the fashion world, there are shows that just happen - and there are shows that become legends. Chanel has been proving for years that it belongs to the latter category. This year's news has electrified the community: the Métiers d'Art show will return to New York. On December 2, 2025, to be exact, the Chanel fashion house will take us on another journey through craftsmanship, art and Parisian luxury at its most New York-like.

Métiers d'Art is no ordinary collection. It is a tribute to heritage, perfection and the people behind every button, embroidery and pleat. It's a celebration of the art of craftsmanship that has endured for decades, and which today more than ever becomes the answer to the question: what luxury really is. Lesage, Goossens, Maison Michel, Lognon, Massaro - these names do not appear on the labels, but it is their magic that creates what we see on the runway.

The return to New York is no accident. Chanel knows that fashion is not just about clothes - it's about context, energy, history. The last time the fashion house visited the city was in 2018, when Karl Lagerfeld turned the Temple of Dendur at the Metropolitan Museum of Art into a spectacular setting for an Egyptian tale of gold, lights and infinite heritage. Now it's time for a new chapter.

We don't yet know exactly where the December show will take place, but expectations are high. Will we again see the monumental interiors of a museum, or something completely new, industrial, futuristic? One thing we know for sure - Chanel does not repeat itself. Each Métiers d'Art is a separate story. Visual poetry.

What makes it all the more electrifying is that even before December, in October, Matthieu Blazy will show his first vision for Chanel in Paris. The designer, known for his architectural approach to silhouettes and his reverence for fabric, has the chance to bring a new language to the Chanel world - subtle, sophisticated, but still grounded in the brand's DNA. This could be a turning point. The moment when the fashion house will enter the next era without losing any of its identity.

Métiers d'Art is fashion that knows no compromise. As the world speeds up, Chanel slows down, stopping us with the details. In a world where everything can be copied, Chanel reminds us that there are things that cannot be faked - because they are made by people, passion and time.

December 2 will be one of those evenings when fashion falls silent - and looks only to one place. Toward Chanel. Toward New York. And toward the future, which still has the spirit of Gabrielle in it.
